Nostalgic..vintage…ours is the best no matter how you package it

August 6th, 2008

We offer you great vintage candy. We offer you great looking packages to present it in. We offer you nostalgic candy.

We all know the definition of candy. Let’s take a closer look at the other two.

What is the definition of “vintage”? Websters defines it as “representative of or dating from a period long past”. It also defines vintage as “of a good period, choice, representative of the best”.

What is the definition of “nostalgic”? Again, Websters defines it as “a longing to go back to one’s home, homesickness” or “ a longing for something far away or long ago”. Or how about this one: “ longing for former happy circumstances”

We hereby offer you the best, the oldest and the way to fill that longing. Our vintage candy can’t be beat. Not in it’s variety (we have over 40), and not in it’s nostalgia. And definitely not in it’s pricing or packaging.

Vintage. What does it mean?

May 8th, 2008

Vintage. It is a term used for wine. For a cigar. It’s a flat thread with an antique finish. What do we mean by vintage?

We’re talking vintage candy! For us, it defines: great, old, memories, fun, nostalgia. Not in any particular order, but there it is.

We offer 48 types of vintage candy. Old time candy. Great candy. Fun candy. We offer it in retro lunch boxes (retro=just another word for vintage!) that will look great at your home, office, party, get together. You can’t bring back memories like this for this great price. It all costs under $20! Who can put a price on laughter, friends, food, fun and memories? I can’t.

Here’s an idea. How about buying a box or two, and showing your kids what REAL candy is all about? And you can show it off in the packaging. That in itself is a great discussion topic.

I did this with my kids. They looked in the box and said, “What’s this?” “What does this taste like?” Being teens, they were a little skeptical to try anything that didn’t start with the words “sour”. But they loved it! Create a memory night for those you love.

March 15th, 2008

Tootsie Rolls. Complete nostalgic candy at it’s finest. There is nothing else like it…anywhere! Chewy. Chocolaty. Non-melting. OLD. They were originated in New York by an Austrian immigrant in 1896.

The Tootsie Roll is a true American icon. Is there anyone who has not had one in a pinata? In a candy jar on the desk? Or in your pocket or purse? They are great for grabbing handfuls! Did you know that Tootsie Rolls were added to soldier’s rations because of their ability to withstand severe weather conditions?

The commercials are the longest running candy commercials~ Ever. The company creates a whopping 64 million, individually wrapped candy.. per day! These were the first individually wrapped, penny candy in America.

Now, they are available along with 48 other candies…nostalgia style. They are individually wrapped candies, combined in a few different styles of packaging. They are available for a LOW cost. They make great gifts, party favors, conversation starters.

Need an adornment for a boutique shelf? A 50’s diner? These make great embellishments anywhere. A store, a home. You name it, it works!

Who is Mary Jane? Not just a candy…

March 15th, 2008

Mary Jane Candy. Now there’s nostalgic candy for you. The Miller Company started producing Mary Janes in 1914, and quickly became its best selling candy. Necco has since bought the rights to it.

One of this nostalgic candy’s claim to fame is that it was created in the Paul Revere House in Boston. Yes, his actual home!

Mary Jane is a peanut butter-flavored molasses candy and is named after their favorite aunt (you guessed it…Mary Jane).

There are many ways to acquire Mary Janes. I recently saw some for sale in an antique store. Another way to get your hands on this (and much easier!), and 48 other varieties of terrific candy all in one shot is to visit our website. Here, you can get all of your old favorites without having to search for them yourself. They come in several different style packages, and they all contain non-melting candies that will be a welcome to any store shelf, or home.

Contact us today for a great deal…you can’t beat our prices, nor our service.
